Seeking Workshop Ideas

Here’s an exciting opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with local government decision-makers! The Iowa League of Cities is seeking ideas/proposals for educational workshops on topics related to local government for our 2022 Annual Conference & Exhibit, September 28-30, 2022, in Waterloo, Iowa. “Connections” is the theme for this conference.

We are asking city officials, academics, and those involved in providing services to city governments for workshop proposals. Workshops will be held on all three days of the conference, with most workshops occurring on Thursday, September 29, 2022. If you or someone in your city, firm, agency, or department is an expert on a topic of interest to city officials, please encourage them to submit a workshop proposal. Proposals are due January 31, 2022.

You may submit as many workshops ideas as you are qualified to present. Acceptance of your proposal does not guarantee that you will be selected to speak at the 2022 Annual Conference & Exhibit. All materials are subject to review by League staff. Workshop proposals will be evaluated based on how the topic addresses the needs of Iowa elected and appointed city officials. Initial selections for conference workshops will be made by the end of March 2022.

We appreciate your interest in presenting at the League’s Annual Conference and Exhibit. If you have any questions, please contact MbrSvcs@itest.iowaleague.com or (515) 244-7282.
