Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association

Iowa Municipal Finance Officers Association (IMFOA) provides opportunities for every finance officer to obtain the necessary knowledge through mutual assistance training opportunities and receive clerk certification credit.

Iowa Mayors Association

The Iowa Mayors Association will provide mentoring for new mayors, provide an opportunity to network and discuss shared issues facing mayors around the state and be extremely valuable in providing legislative assistance to the Iowa League of Cities.

The Iowa City/County Management Association (IaCMA) was established in 1972 with the purpose of increasing the knowledge and ability of the local government managers and administrators, to promote the exchange of information between the members, and support the functions and the aims of the International City Management Association.

Iowa’s Councils of Governments (COGs) provide professional planning, programming, and technical assistance to Iowa’s cities, counties, businesses, community organizations and Iowans of all age.

Clerk Mentor

The Iowa League of Cities Clerk Mentor Program matches experienced city clerks (mentors) with new or less experienced clerks (mentees) who feel they need a little extra guidance. The League’s clerk mentors are willing to share their skills, knowledge, and experiences to help set up mentees for success in the city clerk profession.

Mayor Mentor

Iowa Mayors Association Mentoring Program matches experienced mayors (mentors) with new or less experienced mayors (mentees) who feel they need a little extra guidance.
