On December 6, 2023, local government leaders from across the nation convened virtually for the second annual National Civility Summit for Local Governments, marking a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to fostering civility in municipal leadership and governance. This year’s summit, themed “Civility and Effective Leadership: Be the Leader Your Community Needs During Divisive and Difficult Times,” provided local government leaders with the tools and mindset to navigate the complexities of their roles and lead their communities during some of the most stressful and straining times.
