While all cities in Iowa are required to provide effective law enforcement services, the method to deliver the service can vary from city to city. This report describes the different ways cities supply law enforcement and offers guidance for city officials when reviewing their options. Also, the report includes several appendices that can assist cities in their law enforcement provision efforts.
